Can I have a green roof?
Certainly. We are registered installers of the 'Firestone' EPDM rubber roof membrance system which is the perfect substrate for a 'sedum' green roof.
What are the payment terms?
We do not charge anything for design work, quotes or site surveys and there is no obligation to proceed with us at this stage. If you do decide to go ahead then we will take a deposit of 40% to allow us to begin manufacturing the panels and ordering the windows and doors for your studio. Once this is ready we require an additional 40% for installation to begin with the main panel delivery. A further 15% is then paid during the second fix and the remaining 5% on completion.
Can I visit a studio?
We are often asked whether our studios can be seen in person. As a relatively young business we unfortunately have a limited number of garden rooms available for viewing. However, if there aren't any in your area then we are happy to come and visit you to demonstrate our panel system and give you a selection of samples.
Do you build bespoke studios?
Absolutely, in fact a large proportion of the garden offices and studios that we build are to custom sizes and specifications. The design work is free and we can make adjustments depending upon your budget so please contact us to discuss your needs as we can often create more affordable solutions.
Is maintenance necessary?
Very little! We use timber claddings such as Western Red Cedar that do not need any ongoing maintenance such as oiling or staining (unless you really want to!). They will silver naturally over time and enhance the natural quality of the building. Even our windows only require the occasional clean with a damp cloth.
Who will install my garden room?
We have a small team of experienced, friendly and polite tradesmen who work tidily and will leave your site as they found it. Our electricians are NICEIC registered and all work is carried out in accordance with the latest regulations. We are also insured for your protection.
Will it add value?
Definitely. It is better to think of a Timber Studio as an investment rather than as a luxury purchase. It will certainly increase the value of your property, in fact you recoup as much as 75% of the cost or more. Not only that, it will also give you greater flexibility with your accommodation and can save you considerable money when compared with building an extension.
